What if instead of traditional masonry solutions or the current plasterboard solutions, with metal frames and mineral wool, it could used a single building element?
An element that was lighter, more resistant, easier to assemble, with superior thermal and acoustic insulation, and better fire protection than those obtained by conventional techniques?
That’s what a SIP panel is — Structural Insulated Panel. They are panels composed of an insulating core sandwiched between two structural plates. Although this type of solution emerged in the 1930s and is already widely used in various parts of the world, in Portugal SIP panels are only now beginning to be known.
The SIP panels manufactured by FRACTUS are an evolution in relation to those available in the market, being more resistant, versatile in terms of finishes, and prepared for the installation of electrical and IT cables.
